SHBG & Progesterone with Neuro Issues

Can you tell me what causes SHBG to be high? Mine is always high when tested and yet I still have very oily, acne prone skin.
Also, 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth. They say that it was triggered by my pregnancy and believe that the increase in progesterone during the pregnancy and suppressed immune system caused this latent genetic disease to essentially "activate".
Currently, they are studying progesterone antagonists to prevent or slow the disease.
Flash forward 10 years, and I am now 45 with low progesterone issues. I have tried to take it orally, creams and even Young Living essential oils, and I always begin to have severe digestive issues...food backs. I have never had these issues before.
Any information on these issues to share with me?
