Progesterone and endometriosis, increasing amount of cream

Hi Wray. First of all thank you for your website that is very interesting and helpful.
I have been suffering from endometriosis for years and started using progesterone cream 8 months ago. I have been using 40 mg a day from day 12 to day 26 and I have to admit this gave excellent results. My periods are now totaly painfree, PMS almost gone and no more heavy bleeding.
Nevertheless a naturopath advised I should increase the amount of cream I use, because this is better for women with endometriosis. So this month I used it from day 5 to day 26 and increased the amount to 60 mg a day. My periods came last week and were painfree again, the PMS is totally gone with no more headaches nor water retention etc but something odd happened. Usually my periods last 5 days and this time it was 8 days. On day 5 the bleeding was very light then I started bleeding again during 3 more days; not heavy bleeding at all but a normal flow with some clots on day 8. And once again no pain at all.
I read what you say about the progesterone cleasing the uterus out, so could it possibly be what happened with me since I increased the amount of cream ?
Thanks for your help.

That's great

That's great that progesterone has worked so quick and so well for you. It's been a bit of a roller coaster for me. I don't have endometriosis but I have heavy bleeding with lots of clots. Some periods are better than others and some start or end with a week of spotting. I never know what to expect. Prob a combo of progesterone and peri menopause. I don't recall reading about how using the cream can clean you out. I've been using it for almost a year and all of a sudden my last period had a few heavy floods with lots of large clots when I thought the clots were getting less. Where on this site did you read about "the clean out"? I'd like to read it as well. Thanks
