WOW!!

I AM 31 YEARS OLD I AM NINE WEEKS PREGNANT AND I JUST WENT TO MY FIRST PRENATAL APPOINTMENT YESTERDAY. THE DOCTOR HAD AN ULTRASOUND DONE ON ME. WHEN THE DOCTOR TOLD ME THAT THIS BABY IS NOT DEVELOPING PROPERLY I JUST CRIED.

THE DOCTOR ALSO TOLD ME THAT IT IS A 50-50 CHANCE THAT I WILL MISCARRY. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. BUT I HAVE 2 CHILDREN 9 AND 8 YEARS OF AGE AND I DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH THEM I THOUGHT THAT SINCE I AM OLDER THIS WOULD BE A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE ANOTHER BABY. I HAVE TO GO THROUGH A SERIES OF TESTS NOW BECAUSE THE DOCTOR DOES NOT THINK THAT I WILL CARRY THIS BABY FULL-TERM. IF I DO MISCARRY I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO BECAUSE THIS WILL BE MY FIRST ONE. AFTER READING ALL THE OTHER ARTICLES ITS JUST AMAZE ME WHAT WOMEN GO THROUGH WE ARE SOME VERY STONG INDIVIDUALS.

WOW!!

Hi Jay As we get older the chances of having miscarriages etc increases. I had five and by the time my daughter was born I was 33. I hope the tests explain what has happened, but don't give up hope. Please consider having a vitamin D test, this is so critical for the developing baby, see here and here. We also have a page on Pregnancy too. Take care Wray
