Vaginal itchiness

by Mrs T

I am a 32 year old female with 5 children. I have had itchiness in the vaginal area and anal area since May 2009 with no break in between except two weeks due to the use of Clobetasol for itchiness.

In that time i have had an itchy rash on my right arm, neck and left side. I stopped nursing in June 2009 and I still have issues with dryness in the vaginal area. My general doctor thinks I have candidiasis. I would love to get rid of the itchiness in a natural way. Please help.

Probiotics the most Natural remedy

Try a Probiotic that will return back the Normal flora. This can be obtained from a Health food store in tablet form or powder.

Vaginal itchiness

Hi Mrs T. It does sound as if you have candida, this can also affect the skin too. The best solution is caprylic acid, it's a natural extract from coconuts. If at all possible please get some MCT oil, this is a medium chain triglyceride, also called capric/caprylic triglyceride. It normally comprises 60% caprylic acid and 40% capric acid. This can be taken internally, about 5ml (1tsp) and also rubbed on the skin where ever there is an itch.

Please be aware candida can take 6 months to control, often shorter though. MCT oil is available on the web, and maybe at gyms, as it's used for body building by athletes. It does have a laxative affect if large doses are taken, 5ml is fine though. If you find it's taking too long, you could try Nystatin, a natural soil bacteria which kills candida. Please have a look at this web page on candida. There are research papers showing how excess oestrogen exacerbates candida, progesterone is protective. Please consider using it, particularly in your vagina. Take care, Wray

Vaginal itch
by: KARIS

I found that vaginal itch stems from excessive estrogen. Probiotics did help but I needed to cut back on my progesterone cream as the estrogen receptor sites were converting the progesterone to estrogen. It worked for me.
