Progesterone cream through pregnancy

by Lindsay Smith

This is a query rather than a story.

When using progesterone cream through pregnancy, I realise it should not be stopped, but are you at risk if you miss a day or forget a dose? Many thanks.

Hi Lindsay Most of the contributions we get are queries now! You are right progesterone should not be stopped suddenly during pregnancy, but if you miss a day or two it won't matter, so long as you don't miss several days at a time. If you should ever consider stopping it, please take about a month to reduce the amount gradually. For more info please see our web page on Conception and Pregnancy. Take care Wray
