NPC

Hello Wray,

At the moment I am on NPC (Nature's Precise Cream). According to you it should not work because it is a 'yam'cream. But the label says it is made by the recipe of Dr. Lee (!)
Should I shift to an other one?
My symptoms got worse at the beginning of using it: headaches, hot flushes and insomnia. Now gradually I feel better, but still experience some of these symptoms.
What do you advise?

Marianne

Hi Marianne I'm sorry if I confused you, what I meant was a cream containing only a yam extract doesn't work. But if the progesterone is synthesised from the plant sterol in the yam, then it will work. The NPC cream you have does contain progesterone, but a low amount. This is the reason you are only gradually getting better. You should have been warned about Oestrogen Dominance before you started it. This often occurs and is disconcerting when it does. I recommend 100-200mg/day, more if symptoms are bad. If you do consider increasing the amount, please be aware oestrogen dominance symptoms can kick in again. I've found 400mg/day is needed to stop hot flushes, once gone the progesterone can be very slowly reduced until the optimum is found. Take care Wray
