need a good vitamin D

by Shannon
(Louisiana)

Hello! I was wondering what a good brand of vitamin D is without any fillers or bad stuff in it. I am currently on Natpro but need to get my D levels up to make it work better! Any suggestions or what kind you all take? Thank you so much

GOOD VITAMIN D
by: Deborah

Hi Shannon

I use Dr. Mercola's Vitamin D spray. Here's a link to his page about it, with a short little video:

It bypasses the digestive tract and goes straight to your blood stream.

The very best natural vit d will either come from sun exposure or cod liver oil . Vit d needs co factors to do its magic and the co factors it needs are in cod liver oil and it is all natural. Our great grandmothers used it all their lives. And dont forget when taking vit d you always take magnesium cause if magnesium is low the d will use it up and you WILL get sick from low magnesium.

regarding vit d spray
by: shannon

Hi deborah
Do you take vit. K along with the spray? I was reading that the two should be taken together. Mercola recommends that I'm getting overwhelmed with all this vitamin information and it seems like if you take something you have to take something else for it to work please help

Need a good Vitamin D
by: Joy

Hi Shannon

Please whatever you do, DO NOT take cod liver oil, or any fish liver oil. The excessive vitamin A it contains prevents vitamin D from being absorbed. Take beta-carotene if short of vitamin A - see here and here. Magnesium, zinc, boron and Vitamin K2 are the co-factors and are important.

Wray formulated a Vitamin D with these co-factors, in either 5 000iu's, 10 000iu's and 100 000iu's doses. If you are interested please contact me via my own website - see here. Or Dr Cannell's range is one that Wray also recommends - see here.

Hope this helps.

VITAMIN D
by: Deborah

Hi Shannon

I'm bad about remembering the whole vitamin K thing....but I think that I read that if you eat a lot of cheese (among other things), you probably get enough...

I usually do the Natpro, Magnesium oil and vitamin D every day and that's it.

Joy said that Wray has formulated some vitamin D, so maybe check that out too.

I know it gets so overwhelming sometimes!

Metagenics D w K (mk7)
by: Karli

I take 1 Vitamin D pill that contains 10,000iu D plus the cofactor vitamin K. It's the correct vitamin K that the D needs (mk7). I also make sure to use magnesium oil & epsom baths since that's the other cofactor to D. I can get the Metagenics on Amazon for $25. It's dreamy to get all that in 1 pill!
