Calcium supplements

by Helen

Hi Wray, you replied to my last query about having to take massive amounts of calcium supplements. You showed concern that I should also be taking vitamin D and magnesium - I am also taking these and have done for as long as the calcium.

I saw a specialist and my calcium levels eventually got within the 'normal' range. Two months later, however, I was back into abnormal. The doctors are baffled as to why this is. Have you any suggestions?

Hi Helen. It would be a good idea to have a hair analysis done. The best organisation for this is Health Excel. They use a lab called Trace Elements, but you have to go through a consultant. It could be some other mineral is affecting the calcium. Take care, Wray
