Condolences and Question: What Type of Cancer Did Wray Have?

by Linda K
(Texas, US)

I'm sorry to read about Wray passing away at the end of January. I know that she helped a lot of people and was a kind hearted person. I hope that she did not suffer needlessly. At the same time I am wondering what type of cancer, she had.

Wray saved me !
by: Anonymous

I was so sad to hear of Wrays passing .... It has taken me a while to truly realize it.

She saved me and the support here on her website was my daily go to - for more info to help me turn my life around.

She truly will be missed and I am so happy to see her website still up and active.

Rest in peace Wray.....

Wray, The Awesome Researcher
by: Linda K.

Hello Mal, Wray's Brother,

Thank you for your response. I am so sorry that Wray had such a rare cancer. I don't think that there are any online support groups for those who have that cancer, so Wray did not have that support, but she had you and the rest of her wonderful family for support. I'm so glad about that.

Wray, who was a thoughtful and resourceful researcher most likely became an expert on undifferentiated anaplastic carcinoma just as she had on illnesses and the many uses for progesterone in treating them. I don't know much about the state of cancer care in South Africa, whether it is good or poor. I hope that Wray received help from the best doctors that she could find. In Texas, there is a world wide famous cancer center that treats many cancer patients from other countries. I myself have been fortunate enough to get treated there and my cancer prognosis has improved.

Many blessing to you, your family and her supportive friends.

God Bless!

Hello RJ, thanks for your kind thoughts, we are doing well enough given the circumstances. Your support and invaluable contributions over the years have always been greatly appreciated. Wray often spoke of you and always in the warmest of terms.

Hello Linda,

Thanks for your kind words, she was indeed the most wonderful of people. Two biopsies performed towards the end of 2013 yielded ambiguous results. However, a third in early 2014 reported back she had an 'undifferentiated anaplastic carcinoma' which caused extensive damage to her larynx and oesophagus.
