I would just like some info as I have always used wellness springs which is a bio-identical cream but it only has 2.1oz(60)g, yours has more and I am looking for a higher dose of progesterone when I buy my next lot of cream but I need to know, is yours similar? I dont want anything in it thats going to cause cancer etc.

The progesterone has always helped until now, 5 yrs into menopause but I think I need a higher dose as something has changed and my flushing has become extreme, like up to 15 times a day, and I can't sleep, sweating and weight gain, migraines etc. and I just cant get them back under control.

If someone could let me know about the product I would be grateful.

Thanks

Hi Wendy

Natpro is an excellent progesterone cream, it was formulated over 20 years ago. It is organic and contains no parabens. I have been using it for 14 years now and will never use anything else.

You don't say how much cream you are currently using, but between 100-200mg Natpro is needed, more if symptoms are severe. As you are in menopause you will needed to use the cream every day with no breaks. Hot flushes require between 400-500mg for about 4-6 days or until they clear. Once they clear and you feel stable, you can slowly start to reduce the amount to a level that suits you.

Vitamin D3 is very important as a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone. Optimal range is between 70-100ng/mL. If you do not know your level, please consider having it tested.

You mentioned 100 to 200 mg daily was necessary of progesterone. I have been in menopause for 9 months and I've only been taking 20 mg, once a day. I don't have any flashing symptoms or problems so does this mean the small amount is enough?

Hi Wendy

I am confused as you first said that you were experiencing extreme hot flushes, up to 15 times a day. You then state that you are not experiencing them. Nothing less than 100mg progesterone is needed. If your are in fact experiencing extreme flushing then you need to follow as mentioned above. If you read this website you will see that the recommended amount to use is between 100mg - 200mg. The 20mg that you are using will aggravate your estrogen receptors and will make the adverse symptoms that you are experiencing worse. Please read the How to use Progesterone Cream page as it explains this.
