Hi Elizebeth Progesterone is essential for pregnancy, and I have helped women who have had threatened miscarriages with progesterone. I think it best if you read our page on Pregnancy, as it gives all the info you need on how to use it, how much to use and when. Please have a vitamin D test done, it's low in most of us and is also vital for a successful pregnancy, see here, here, here, here and here. These are excellent videos to watch too, see here and here. For more info on testing etc see the Vitamin D Council, GrassrootsHealth Birmingham Hospital and Vitamin D Links websites. Blood levels should be 70-100ng/ml and not the 30ng/ml labs and doctors regard as adequate. The minimum daily dose should be 5000iu's per day. Take care Wray
