Pregnancy, Small Bleading and Breastfeeding

by Mioara
(Romania)

First of all, english is not my native language, so please excuse my further mistakes.
I am Mimi, I have 33 years old, mother of 2 daughters: the first has 4years and 4 months and the second one has 1 year and 3 months. Both are birth through caesarian operation.
And I am pregnant with the third one: it has 8 weeks.
Because of some spots of blood on my underwear, I went to my gynecologist an she prescribe Progesterone 200 mg/ day (Utrogestan, intravaginal)until the next meeting in 2 weeks; and to rest as much as posible, not to loose the pregnacy.
My big question is "Can I take this Progesterone and breastfeed the litlle girl?" I dont want to wean.
Thank you very much for your time!
Multumesc!

Hi Mioara Yes you can continue to use the progesterone while breastfeeding. Please see this page here. We also have a page on Pregnancy you could look through. Take care Wray
