Please help - urgent

Hello,

maybe it was here already, but I can´t find the answer. I´ve used Natpro for about 3weeks, 200mg/day. After one week, I´ve got my cycle /I had it irregular before/ it lasted for 4days. You wrote that I have to use Napro for about 3month continuously, so I didn´t make a break. But after a week I´ve got bleeding again today! Is it normal? I use Natpro because of irregular cycle, no ovulation, heavy osteoporosis in my 39years, and other health issues = hair falling, insomnia, water retention,oestrogen-progesterone 33:1, colitis ulcerosa, allergies.
Thank You for the answer!

Hi Kate

I've had that happen to me, too. I think it's possible that you're in perimenopause and this might happen for awhile.

I don't have a lot of expert advice; maybe Joy could explain to you more, but just wanted you to know not to worry.

Hi Kate

You can read your post and my reply here. When using progesterone for the first time, one can experience things to get better before they get worse. After 3 weeks your body is still adjusting you need to give it time. Yes it is normal to bleed/clot/spot during this time. Things do settle down provided progesterone is used correctly.

Have you had your Vitamin D level tested yet? This is most important as explained in my previous post.

something else to use?

Thank You Joy and also Deborah for reply! Now, the bleeding is better, I´m spotting now. Yes, I tested my vitD level in winter and it was O.K., my doctor told me, that I have had to use only 3000I.U.vitD/day. /before I used 5.000-10.000I.U/day/. Do I have to increase the daily amount of my vitD again? I use also about 400mg Magnesium/day +300Ca +probiotics +minerals +1300mgOmega3 +200mcgK2 +1000mgvitC and digestive enzymes. I eat also great lakes gelatin daily and sometimes 5g of maca powder. Do I have to use something else? And - do I have to continue with daily 200mg of Natpro without break until my cycle will be regular? /although it will be a half a year?/ thank you!

Hi Kate

If your Vitamin D level within range as suggested on the Vitamin D page, then your level is fine. However, I do not believe that 3 000iu’s per day is sufficient as mentioned on the page. Take note of the co-factors needed when taking vitamin D, some of them you are already using.

It is pointless using progesterone cream while trying to follow your cycle as your cycle is irregular. You need to use it every day until your cycle returns to normal, then and only then can you start to use it by following your cycle, this is explained on How to Use Progesterone Cream. The 200mg is merely a guideline which seems to help most, you will have to experiment with the amount, but as the bleeding is getting better, I suggest that you continue with 200mg. If you feel that it is not working, then increase. Do bear in mind that you could also be in Peri-Menopause as mentioned. The page explains what to expect and what is needed.

Hi Kate

Hopefully Joy can answer most of your questions, but just wanted to let you know that I've been using 200 mg of Natpro without a break for a long time (two years) because of being in peri-menopause and having irregular periods.

I hadn't had a period since February and thought maybe this was it - and then a period started yesterday.

I'd just recently upped my dosage to 500 mg to get rid of some worsening hot flashes, and I've been doing that for a few weeks......

Even after I first started Natpro, I got a heavy 16 day period with a four day break, and then a 12 day period....this went on for a little while, then settled into somewhat normal periods.....until February.

So I guess we're still going to have the erratic stuff going on for awhile no matter what we do.

Thank You for the answer, so I´ll increase the daily amount of vitD. And Deborah thank You for Your own experiences, so I´ll not worry about using Natpro for a long time without break. Although I hope to have a regular cycle again - or at least feel great ang be healthy.
