PCOS Symptoms

by Sharon
(UK)

I have only just discovered Progesterone cream, unfortunately I have not purchased Natpro because I only found this website after making my purchase.

I have read the pages on PCOS and found that 150mg of Progesterone cream is needed for positive effects. The particular brand I purchased states 20-40mg (20mg per pump) per day. Does that mean I should be dispensing 8 pumps per day?

It's all a bit overwhelming and some info is a little confusing. Can anyone help?

Hi Sharon There's no need to buy Natpro, I'm happy to answer questions from users of other brands. The 150mg/day is a guideline, it really depends on symptoms. Some women have all the PCOS symptoms, others only one or two. I've found the worse they are the more is needed. So you would be the best judge of that, as you'll soon notice if you're not using enough. Or luckily hit the right amount first time, unusual! It is trial and error, and does takes some time to adjust the amount to suit. If you wished to start on the 150mg/day you would need about 8 pumps. You might like to read our page on How to use progesterone cream too, as it gives further info. Please bear in mind that PCOS is caused by oxidative stress, so large amounts of antioxidants are needed too. The page does give a list of them, there are papers on the studies done too. Progesterone alone won't reverse the problem. Take care Wray
