ok, taking the plunge

After spending 2 days on this website reading everything I could about Hashimoto's and progesterone, I ordered my 3 pumps to get started. I've been on high estrogen BHRT, did my calculations and right now I'm about 10:1, so I know I need to increase my progesterone to at least 100:1. Not quite sure how to start, but hopefully I'll get some answers.

I wrote most of my story, not nearly as bad as some others I read. Mostly wanting to stop waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to get back to sleep. I think I've been estrogen dominant most of my life, heavy periods after my first daughter was born, severe post-partum depression, systemic inflammation, insomnia. I'd read, several years ago about progesterone's healing powers but couldn't find this website, nor any way to purchase progesterone without a doctor's prescription. I don't like my current doctor, was about to pay another doc several hundred to begin a natural healing protocol for my Hashimoto's, figured I'd give progesterone a go before that.

Wish me luck :)

OK, taking the plunge

Hi Glynda-Lee

Good luck. Progesterone therapy is not an over night fix, it does take time. I did reply to your previous post.

Taking the Plunge with you!!!

Hi....I've ordered my progesterone cream recently as well. I too have Hashimoto's and have been waking up at three a.m. for decades! I've read that one of the triggers for Hashi's is excess estrogen, I've struggled with too much estrogen since puberty, I'm nearly 52 now and I'm really hoping that drenching myself in progesterone will help.
