Menopause

Hi Connie Unfortunately it takes longer than 2 weeks to help. Some women only finding relief after several weeks. I've found at least 400mg/day is needed to stop or reduce hot flushes. I'm not sure what cream you're using but if it's Natpro, the 2tsp will be giving you about 330mg/day, you need to increase it to 12ml or nearly 2 1/2 tsp. It's best to use it a minimum of twice a day, but if you feel a hot flush coming, please rub some cream on immediately. This often helps. It can help libido too, interestingly we have many men using it for this. But again it takes time. If you have arthritis, please have a vitamin D test done, as we get older we are less able to make it in our skin. Besides which, most of us spend 90% of our time indoors, making none. For more info on testing etc see the Vitamin D Council, GrassrootsHealth Birmingham Hospital and Vitamin D Links websites. And these papers on arthritis and vitamin D here, here, here, here and here. We do have a page on Menopause which you might not have seen. Take care Wray
