Hi Wray,
I have heard & read recently that Progesterone cream is always better absorbed through the vagina.I have been using the cream for 4 years topically (chest, neck, knees & elbows)& wondered what your opinion is regarding this?

Hi Karis The vagina is a good place to use it if there are uterine problems. Or of course any inflammation or dryness in the vagina itself. But using it in the vagina most of it is sequestered in the uterus which leaves little to help elsewhere, particularly with emotional issues, see here, here, here, here and here. Progesterone can be applied anywhere, so please don't limit it to only the areas you're currently applying it. The skin comprises 95% keratinocytes, these have many progesterone receptors, see here. It's excellent for the face for instance, see here. Even the hair follicles absorb it well, see here. Take care Wray
