Is continuous use ok?

by Angie
(New Zealand)

Hi Wray, Is it ok to use the cream on a daily basis ? I'm at present using it only for the 14 day ovulation period, I slept better during that time and my blood sugars were much better!

I'm ok with not having periods if that's a consequence of daily use. It's just that I feel so much better when using the cream. I look forward to your advice. And is the cream available during the xmas break?

Is continuous use ok?

Hi Angie Yes it is safe to use daily. In fact I recommend this to women with severe symptoms, far better to get rid of them first, why suffer! It's easy enough to regulate the cycle again using progesterone, see our page on How to use progesterone cream. I've found the amount of progesterone needs to be 400mg/day and over to stop our periods. As you are probably not using this much I don't think you need be concerned. But you might find your cycle becomes erratic, just be aware of this. I'm not sure of your age, but if you're young and you want a child, I would recommend following your cycle again once symptoms have resolved. But if in peri-menopause there's obviously no need, more about this on our Peri-menopause page. In fact I did just this, as symptoms came back during the 'off' days, too ghastly! And yes the cream will be available, but not over the public holidays. Take care Wray
