Improved blood sugar levels

by Angie Wehipeihana
(New Zealand)

I'm new to natural progesterone cream but, before arriving here, I tried many synthetic hormones with the guidance of various Drs who I believe felt they were helping me. My Problem was heavy bleeding and pms including headaches and moodiness, food cravings during ovulation.

My periods are regular and I'm 46. I had a tubiligation at age 28. 4 years later I developed type 1 Diabetes. I have 3 lovely children and a very loving supportive husband, so I'm very much loved, but I've been feeling drained grumpy tearful and most important of all my bsl levels have been higher than I would like, and I linked this to Estrogen dominance which only got worse while on the synthetic hormones. I explained to my dr that I suspected this but she just shrugged her shoulders and smiled at me!!

So to cut a long story short I did some research and found insulin resistance is a side effect of many contraceptive pills and came across Natpro. I got the one tube cos I'm ever cautious, and within days I felt better. Life was not such a drag! I felt calmer, I was not getting grumpy or feeling overwhelmed at the slightest problem, I was sleeping better, but best of all my blood sugar levels were markedly better. I use an insulin pump and I had to decrease my basal levels as I was experiencing hypos. So I'm very pleased with my new path and can only see a bright future from now on. I hope this is helpful to anyone else having similar problems.

Hi Angie Bless you for sharing this story! I'm always cautious about saying progesterone will help diabetes, now I know! I do know it stabilises blood glucose, but not to the extent it could help in diabetes. I'm delighted it's helped your other symptoms too. I do hope you've read our page on Oestrogen Dominance. Although it doesn't appear to have affected you, please read the page in case it does. You are right about Contraceptives causing insulin resistance and more, you might like to read our page on them. I'm not sure where you live in NZ, but on the whole the two islands are above the level where sunlight is optimal, ie more than 34 degrees N or S of the equator. This means you are probably short of vitamin D, please, please have a test done. For more info see the Vitamin D council website. A lack of vitamin D can cause many of the problems you have, it also reduces the benefits of progesterone. But above all a lack can cause diabetes, see here, here, here, here, here and here. Please look at this video clip too on Vitamin D and Diabetes-Can We Prevent it? Frank C. Garland, Ph.D. One final thing, type one and two have been reversed with raw food, here is a documentary you may like to watch Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days Take care Wray
