Has Progesterone ever reversed peri-menopause?

by Kathy B
(Atlanta, Ga, USA)

Hi Wray, I am 3 weeks into my first tube of Natpro and sleeping like a baby! (finally) and no more nasty hot flashes. I have not had a period in over a year, and came off bio-identical hormones about 5 months ago. Have also banished artificial sweeter. Because I assumed I was already in menopause, I have been using the daily dose you recommended, and did not stop and start. Well low and behold, I got a period. So now what should I do? Should I use the stop and start dosage? Has this ever happended to anyone else? Thanks.

Has Progesterone ever reversed peri-menopause?

Hi Kathy. So happy it's helping you! You can have a period out of the blue in early menopause when first using progesterone. It's nothing to be worried about though. Over that year the lining does build up, progesterone is merely cleaning the uterus out. It shouldn't happen again, just continue with the cream as you are. Please see this web page for more info on menopause.

So relieved you've banished the artificial sweetener. Dr Mercola has an excellent book about them called Sweet Deception. Take care, Wray
