Everyday Progesterone

by Brandie
(SC)

I was just wondering if it would be bad to continue to use the cream everyday? My menstrual cycles are so erratic that it is hard for me to know when I do/do not ovulate in order to start the cream for the 14 day use.

I love the way it makes me feel... I feel so much better when using the cream. So, is it ok to continue using the cream daily even though I am not in menopause? Would it be harmful to do this other than it may suppress my body from making its own natural progesterone? Thank you so much for ALL of your help!

Everyday Progesterone

Hi Brandie. You can use the cream daily, I did in peri-menopause (PM) and didn't look back. Each time I took a break my symptoms came back, with a vengeance it seemed! It's impossible to follow them anyway. Using it daily can suppress our own progesterone, as it does stop ovulation if a high dose is used. But in PM we ovulate so infrequently, it won't be a problem. Please have a look at this page. Thanks for the kind words! Take care, Wray

Age 60. Is it safe to take everyday or do I need to skip 5-6 days a month as some suggest? AND best place to administer it?

Hi Debbie I've used progesterone for 18 years with no break, apart from experimenting by stopping to see if I need continue, I always do. I'm now 66, 67 in 2 1/2 months, and will never stop using it, besides it so beneficial for ageing, see here, here, here, here and here. Take care Wray
