Do I have a defective luteal phase?

by Josy
(Botswana)

Though I don't have any man right now to try to have a child I tried the whole of last year but faild to become pregnant.

I'm surprised the way my periods come. I think they are too short.... July 13th, August 8th, and Sept is the 2nd. Could I be having a progesterone deficiency?

Do I have a defective luteal phase?

Hi Josy You're cycle appears normal. July 13th to August 8th is 26 days and from there to Sept 2nd is 25 days. This means you would ovulate round about day 12, or 14 days before you bleed. For more info please see our page on How to use progesterone cream.
For more info on conception please see our page on Pregnancy. It could be you're not ovulating, has this been checked? One cause of anovulation is poly cystic ovaries, please see this page on PCOS. Take care Wray
