cervical cancer

My daughter, 25 yrs old, has been told she has pre cancer cells in her pap smear. Do you know if Progesterone cream will help with this? Her doctor tells her that if it continues to grow she must have a hysterectomy. She would like children some day.

Hi Mary Most of us get cervical hyperplasia at some point. She could have another test done, as it's often found to have gone in the second test. Or it was a false positive in the first. Progesterone does stop hyperplasia, excess oestrogen causes it. Oestrogen is a mitogen, it causes cells to proliferate. Vitamin D also prevents hyperplasia, please ask her to have a test done. It's the most anti-proliferative substance there is, when used in conjunction with progesterone it would be even more effective. This was found in studies done on Traumatic Brain Injury victims, see here, here and here. We have two pages she could look through, How to use progesterone cream and Menstruation. Take care Wray
