Can I stop estrigen?

Hi!
I am 35 years old and had a complete hysterectomy 6 months ago. My doctor put me on an estrogen patch 3 months ago since I was having horrible hot flashes and couldn't sleep. The hot flashes have stopped, but I have gained 15 pounds... She put me on Prometrium (progesterone pills) 3 weeks ago and I feel great. I am still gaining weight... Before I had the hysterectomy, I was estrogen dominant. Can the progesterone pills help with my hot flashes? I want to stop the estrogen, I know that is what is causing my weight gain. After a complete hysterectomy can women use progesterone only and not estrogen? Any other suggestion for this horrible weight gain?

Prometrium

Prometrium is the worst way to take progesterone. It is in oral form and absorption is very poor. You need to switch to bioidentical progesterone cream. I hope you continue to feel better.
