Bleeding after menopause

by Tanya
(Washington)

Hi. I have been post-menopausal for 3 years and yesterday I started having some spotting. It goes from brown to light pink. I am concerned because I haven't had this happen since I was in menopause. I am not on any natural or synthetic hormones. My last saliva test was in Jan of 2015 which indicated that my progesterone was within normal range but my estradiol was low - 0.6. Do you think this is normal, or should I start on some kind of hrt?
Thanks

See a dr.

Hi Tanya. I'm not sure if your bleeding has anything to do with hormones. It may be completely benign, but I do know that any bleeding after menopause should not be taken lightly. Please make an appt. as soon as possible to get checked out. Good Luck!

I went to the Dr. They did an endometrial Biopsy that came back negative. However, my pap came back with mild dysplasia (sp?)The Dr. is going to take a closer look at my pap and decide if she wants to do a colposcopy to look at the cells closer. They don't seem too worried.
