Always out of stock

by rachel
(London)

While I am grateful to Wray and many other contributors to this site who have provided invaluable information about the minefield that is hormone-health, affecting so many women (and men) all over the world, I am so upset, yet again, to discover that every supplier is out of stock. Again and again we are told to never suddenly stop using Natpro, yet we have no alternative when supplies dry up so often.
If you decide to provide a service to help women in dire need of your product, but fail to provide the product sending so many of us spiralling into ill health, then you are letting people down.
Each time I can't get hold of your product I become very ill.
When Natpro becomes available again, I have to use more of it in order to balance my hormones, only to find that you are out of stock again. And the cycle continues.
I have spent so much money on your product, but I cannot depend on you to provide Natpo, and because of the erratic nature of your service, I believe I have wasted money and experienced more days feeling dreadful.
What a dreadful way to treat us.

Prescription UK
by: Liz UK

I am only posting this because I too followed Wrays advise to take high doses of natural progesterone and for a year purchased 400mg a day of Natpro.
Then I could not get any and was told by one British supplier that her "loyal customers" come first and they too were a waiting on a delivery.

I have read my comments on this website about the same supply issues and no one tells these people there are other alternatives which is just not fair given the fact that if you abruptly stop taking the high dose you were advised to apply, you suffer terribly with what can only be described as "progesterone withdrawal" which is compared to Benzodiazapam withdrawal.

I suffered myself when I had to reduce my 400mg to 200mg as I waited for new stock to arrive. Three weeks later I was hit with the worst hormonal Hell I have ever experienced and actually self harmed for the first time in my life. It was THAT bad.

This prompted me to research alternatives to Natpro and discovered that there IS a 100% natural prescription of Progesterone called "Cyclogest" which is actually a pessary they give to women who struggle to conceive, or have miscarriages and its also given to women with PMS.

I got some from my female doctor explaining why I needed it and took a tube of Natrpro in to show her and was given 400mg p/ day
I melt the pessary in my hands and use it as a cream.

I did this not to avoid paying but because I needed a reliable source of the hormone I was advised to increase to 400mg and never to stop it and only decrease by 18ml a week.

Also, in the USA you can go to compound chemists and obtain natural progesterone.

It will be interesting if this post is published because it will help women who are left without the very product you push and encourage women to keep on increasing when you continue to have supply issues 5 years on.

Unavailability of Natpro
by: Anonymous

Totally agree..I've had to go back to HRT because of the unreliability of Natpro availability. It would help if customers knew what the problem(s) is/are.

I hear you. I haven't started using NatPro yet. I'm using a yam cream right now. But I'm afraid to switch to NatPro if its always out of stock. So, I'm sticking with my yam cream until I see that the NatPro stays in stock for at least 6 months.

Thanks Liz UK.
Your post was incredibly helpful. I may talk to my doctor about it too, and hopefully he/she will be more understanding than I give them credit for.
I, too, became very ill last time I had to wait weeks for more stock. I felt suicidal. The inability for this site to keep up with demand is a very serious problem. I have seen Wray and her team post lots of apologies for the issue, but some of those posts go back to 2010! So it's hardly a recent problem.

Always out of stock etc
by: Joy

Hi Rachel and Liz

Many thanks for your comments which are noted. It has been the most frustrating time for ALL concerned. The reconstruction of the company and the opening of a new lab took longer much than expected. The last thing that Wray would ever want would be to inconvenience everyone and see them suffer. She has put her life and soul into Natpro and helping all who visit her website. If these stock outs could have been avoided, they would have been. There is no one who regrets these stocks outs more than Wray.

There is stock of the new Natpro Pump Dispenser if you care to order that. The tubes are still out of stock and will remain out of stock until the machine used to seal the tubes is working correctly. There were a few tubes that were sent out where the machine had not sealed them correctly. The lab, manufacturers of the machine etc etc are working on getting that sorted as quickly as humanly possible. The tubes will only be added to the shopping cart once the problem has been resolved.

Liz, whoever the supplier is who advised that that only ‘loyal customers’ come first is totally incorrect. All customers are important, they are ALL treated equally, so please ignore that information given to you. On the subject of alternative creams, Wray has mentioned many times to look at the alternative creams suggested on her website when Natpro is not available …. Progesterone cream Typing in the words ‘alternative creams’ in the search bar would also direct you to this page. I myself have this information on my own website ….. How to use progesterone cream

Just to make it clear. The purpose of opening the new lab is to put a stop to all the stock outs which have taken place over the years. Apart from a few frustrating ‘teething problems’, with the new lab, things seem to be pretty much on track for a continual supply of Natpro.

I hope that this information helps you.

always out of stock
by: Rachel

Yep, and it's been going on for years now.
Your business is only as stong as your weakest link, and I can no longer use Natpro because I can't put my body through so much stress every other month, by suddenly halting treatment.
At a time when we feel upset, emotionally-challenged and sick, the last thing we need is for our medication (which has an accumalatory effect) to become unavailable for an unspecified time.
Really dreadful!
You either provide a service or don't.

Hi Rachel and Anon

I am rather puzzled. Natpro as been back in stock for a while now. However, Natpro tubes are out of stock and NOT the dispenser. It clearly states this on the website.

If you are still experiencing problems, please contact us via Organic Products Contact Form. Contact us.
Many thanks.

Take care.

I use Prometrium pills on my skin
by: Anonymous

Just want to put another option out there. I get Prometrium from my doctor via prescription. They come in 100mg or 200mg pills. It cost me $30 for 180 pills of the 100mg. I stick a pin in the pill and squeeze out the liquid and then mix a small amount of my organic coconut lotion with it in my hand and rub it anywhere on my skin once in the AM and once in the PM every day with no break. This totals 200mg per day. So 180 pills lasts me three months. Prometrium is bio identical progesterone. It's manufactured in peanut oil so you can't use it if you are allergic to peanuts. If I wanted to dose up to 300mg or 400mg per day, my doctor could write the prescription at 100mg pills either 3 or 4 times per day. The ONLY problem I have with this method is if I would have to dose down, it would be somewhat complicated. I haven't had to do that thus far. I'm good a 200mg per day for now.

alternative to Natpro when stocks are out
by: Anonymous

Firstly, I want to say the Natpro is an excellent cream and I have been grateful to have found it. Having said that however, yes, it is true that frequently it is out of stock and that can be very stressful for women, especially if they are taking high amounts. In order to compensate for this stock issue that Natpro experiences often, I began to look around to see what alternatives there might be and I found one called Ona's Natural Progesterone cream. It is available in different percentages. The highest is 10%, which means that if, like myself, you are taking around 300mg per day of progesterone, a bottle of Ona's 10% 3 oz pump dispenser costing $50, would last a month! There are , as I mentioned, lower percentages available. I suggest women look up the information on Ona's site. And , the stock issues does not appear to be a problem with that company. It is the highest OTC progesterone cream I have seen. I will be interested to try it.
This is not to discourage women away from Natpro, but only to let them know an alternative is available when the stock problem arises.

Switched to Source Naturals cream - works better for me
by: Anonymous

I too had to switch from using Natpro to another cream because of the product being out of stock so often. I also found the high doses recommended on the site, which I took for about a year or so made me gain A LOT of weight and really thinned out my hair. It didn't seem to help me at all. I decided to very slowly wean myself down to a more "normal" dose - one to one-and-a-half teaspoons per day (breaking for seven days when I had a period) and switched creams as soon as I could. I now use Source Naturals, which works well for me and is far more economical. I've lost some weight and my hair has thickened. I'd never use Natpro again. I can get Source Naturals from several sites online, and Bigvits.co.uk deliver to the UK and EU.

Switched to Source Naturals cream - works better for me
by: Joy

I agree with you, the stock outs have been an issue and many have had to find alternatives. If you have found a cream that is working for you, then that is great, but do understand that symptoms will return on lower amounts of progesterone cream used.

I do need to correct you though. Source Naturals is most certainly not more economical, it fact it is almost double the price compared to Natpro. Compare apples with apples. Natpro has 2000mg of progesterone per 2oz or 60g at $25.70. Source Naturals contains 1000mg per 2oz or 60g at a cost of $22.70.

Take care.
