I have been on Bio HRT for one week. bi-est 80/21 with 100 mg progesterone sublingual tabs. Hysto at 38. I'm 46.

Here are my levels:
estrone 38
testosterone total 30
test free 4.2
DHEA 148
estradiol 17
progesterone <0.5

I take a multi, DHEA, 25000 of D 3 times a week.

Nothing. No change. I fly between being here and wanting to not be here. I take 60 mg prozac and 3 mg ativan daily.

Help

Hi Lisa

At 46 your are in Peri-menopause which is a difficult time for most women and often brings on many adverse symptoms like Anxiety. You are also suffering from Oestrogen Dominance and taking extra estrogen is not helping you, no women needs to take extra estrogen as there are over 100 estrogen mimics in our environment as it is. Any form of oral progesterone is not the best delivery method as 96% is destroyed by the gut and liver, see here. Please consider using a progesterone cream with the correct progesterone concentration and stop the estrogen. How to use Progesterone Cream will explain things in more detail. Progesterone therapy is not an overnight fix, it can take anything from 2-6 months before positive signs are felt, longer if symptoms are severe.

Please avoid taking DHEA, there is evidence it increases cysts and cancer, please see here, here, here and here. Do you know what your Vitamin D is, as a deficiency reduces the benefits of progesterone.

Hope this helps you.

the progesterone is sublingual. My vitamin D is like 79. I take a supplement plus I'm out in the sun on the weekends. I'll stop the DHEA. My osteopath will probably take the estrogen out of my dose. Anything else I can do? I am sleeping better, and I don't feel like a raving lunatic. I asked my DO to up my progesterone, but he wants to check my levels in a few weeks first.
